What type of Crochet stitch is normally used to make plushies?

Usually a single crochet is used to make stuffed animals.
The softer the yarn the better. The smaller the hook the
lighter weight yarn needs to be used. I have no video but
if you type in single crochet, you may come up with a video
in google search.
