Thanks Teresa. I am going to go with your opinion, I have 64 squares to sew together and according to the book I took the pattern from I have to block every single square before putting them together!!! I do intend to use the afghan, it’s not going to be a show piece!!! Thanks for your time, it has saved me huge amounts of hassle!!

@fuzzybint I would not block squares before sewing them together. Blocking is done with starch and to hold shape. If you are going to be using the afghan, I do not recommend blocking. It will be stiff and scratchy.

Hi Teresa. I have finally got my granny squares ready to be sewn together to make my afghan however I wonder if you could tell me, when you made your granny square afghan (I watched you piece the squares together on another video), did you (do you) ever ‘block’ the squares before you sew them together? I have so many conflicting instructions about whether I should or not and would very much value your opinion…

@tjw1963 that gives me an idea for my grandbaby i think i will make a granny square cape for her also.
-
@xenadome Yes, the softer yarns come apart a lot easier.
-
I love the softer yarn, it does tend to shred if not carefull, do you find that happening to you?

Hi, love this! I went to the link, and subscribed, but could not find written instructions for this – do you have them by chance? I’d love to try to make this tonight!

I liked this granny suqare, made 16 and turned it into a poncho for a toddler. Everyone always comment on how good and unique it looks on her. I have been commissioned to make another for a niece. I just have to give you the credit for been a very good teach. Pls keep teaching!!!

thank you so much from france for the english, and crochet’s lesson!!
one day, i’ll send you fotos of my hat production.. thanks one more time -
i just made one with this video paused as i needed. mine just came out weird i think its because i used a regular yarn on the inside and a soft baby yarn on the outside so the inside is stiff and the outside is kinda ruffly. but its still cool i made something other then a granny square. and practice makes perfect right. =]

I really like your videos so much, and I made 2 hats as well. Could you please put a video on how to make sweater cover? I would be thankful. Thank you for the videos

but do you happen to have a pattern writtensomewhere, for the same projekt, only bigger? I’m working on a blanket made entirely out of squares and i would love to add this pattern to it, but i need like 3 times bigger 🙁 -
@JuneLuve The link is in the video details.

I was wondering if you have the link to this particular pattern? If so can you please send it to me ^_^

You can use a smaller crochet hook.
