    Dont worry NumberOneSas. In the beginning pulling through the loop is a tough one.Just remember not to hold the string to tight.

    This video is really helpful, which is really surprising for ‘expert village’ cause normally their videos are not very helpful at all!

    Hoping all it takes is some practice to get right cause I’ve just recently started to try and teach myself and I’m rubbish!!! Will keep at it though! It will NOT beat me!!!

    @4340cupcake hey, i just started learning to crochet too and i’m 15. the first week when i was crocheting, i didnt get it at all, i kept doing it wrong and it pissed me off. but after about a week of practice, i started getting it right. you just need a little patience and practice ๐Ÿ™‚

    i know how you feel, i felt the exact same way because my mum learnt it herself too.

    now i’m trying to knit…

    i cannot get this! my mom said she taught herself when she was my age, but i cant even ge tthe slop knot right! i really want to learn and it looks so easy but i cant get it! i’ll keep trying but it doesn’t look so good :/

    @lindy4fishing Lol dont worry, I was the same way. You just gotta practice! ๐Ÿ™‚ Well…Once you find a video that works for you. OH and there is one video. I cant remember her name but its like Crochet Witch or something… Lol sorry! But she tells you how to make the chain, and then puts it in slow motion. Hope this helps! ๐Ÿ™‚

    Thanks for the advise. I notice you used a clear plastic tube inside the pencil grip to secure the hook, could you please tell me what that clear plastic tube is? Thanks again.

    @gillinghammau I appreciate the comment. The covers are pencil grips. You should be able to find them from any office supply store. I found mine at Wal-mart.
