How do you put a picture into your crochet without having a bunch of ends to weave in?

i want to crochet a bag with the recycle sign on it, but i don’t know how to go about adding the different color yarn in the round. I know i could add it, and then finish the round, but then the yarn would be trailing out of the left side of the picture, and i would need it on the right. How do i fix that? Do i need to carry the yarn with me through the whole round? and if so, how do i do that?

I know you can lay your yarn on top of the last row of stitches and keep crocheting and it gets hidden that way. Or you could just carry it from one side of the new color to approximately where you need it on the other side, and then let it hang, and pick it up again when you get there again.
