Is it customary to skip a stitch before and after the stitch you do the popcorn stitch into? Like, if I’m looking at a pattern that tells me to do a popcorn stitch, will I automatically skip those stitches without the pattern telling me to do so?

do you have a video showing how to do 1 row of popcorn stitches than the next row of double stitches? I am having problems knowing where to pull the double stitches thru on the existing popcorn stitch. I hope you understand.

I started with 2 stitches before doing my pop corn stitch but depending on your design you can have more stitches in between the pop corn stitch
