Your own Personal Crochet Teacher,
This video is above five stars! Mrs. Dillon is almost like having your grandmother teach you.How they film it is of great help because it is as if you are looking down at your own hands.I never thought that I could do this and with in the first minutes of the video I was CROCHETING ! Very clear and calm instrutions, better then any book. If my best friend wanted to learn to crochet I would buy her this video.

|Great Tutorial!,
This video was excellent! Finally, a chance to actually see how the stitches are made properly. I was particularly impressed with the section on granny squares, changing yarn colors, and the different edgings to enhance all crocheted items. This is a must for beginners to advanced if crocheting is your passion.

|Demonstration is the best teacher,
I tried to teach myself crochet from the books I found in crafts stores, but sooner or later someone has to show you how to turn corners, weave in ends, and read patterns. If you don’t have access to someone who is knowledgable and very experienced in crochet, I whole-heartedly recommend this video. You can see close-ups of the stitches and Bev Dillon’s hands as if you’re looking down at your own hands. Another plus for beginners…as she demonstrates the stitches, she shows you slowly and talks you through it, and during some segments of the video, you can watch her crochet at full-speed and see how she develops rhythm. This is definitely lacking in the how-to books.
This video includes projects and a booklet that contains all the items she crochets in the video, including a granny square which I find challenging as a beginner. Since I purchased this video, I took a crochet class, but I find myself going back and watching the video often for a refresher of particular stitches and techniques. If you’re motivated to learn crochet, there’s no better investment. The skill stays with you for a lifetime! (and the marvel you get from non-crocheters will definitely boost your confidence and keep you moving on to more complicated projects)
